One of the three pillars of fighting the other two being striking and fitness. 1 You rear foot must always be on the ball aka forefoot 2 Master the slide back / slide forward first watch Shotokan or Fencers 3 Learn the L slide back eg one step backwards then one step to the side with you rear foot (if you are fast jump with both feet) This puts you upon their dead side and then they cant hit you but you can drill their jaw or temple 4 Learn to dance and skip well 5 The pivot Tony explains www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNclexRmDsY
